Not being funny but I remember how much you lot loved Ashley at first until you realised he wasn’t gonna bank roll you like Chelsea where. You didn’t care about his human rights abuse then.

Aye, to a man they were wanking themselves into oblivion when Ashley rode into town. Only when it became apparent that he was adopting a sustainable business model they turned against him en masse.

Don’t get me wrong. I’d take being 13th in the prem again and a signing like Larsson. But I think it’s a mentality thing and I can’t recall many/any relegated players doing very well (measures by trophies/top 4) afterwards? Only one I can think of is Roberson at Hull? Any more?

Talking about mentality I wonder whether EH can turn his mentality from not lose to must win? I know I get ribbed on here but also having the ball 20% more than they did. I said it on here at the end of season that the best thing AS could have gone was say “thank you” and sacked him. I’m convinced he will be sacked by Christmas in any case
