The City training ground was near where I live, until they moved to the new place. I let Maddison have right of way once, in his Lambo. He waved politely in acknowledgement. So I feel I have a personal bond and special relationship with him now - I'll see if I can have a word and persuade him not to sign for the filthy fuckers.

His England debut was during his second season with us.

His first couple of seasons showed flashes of brilliance followed by a long period of mediocrity.

20/21 he was poor.

Last season he scored 18 goals in all competitions, countless assists and won our Player of the Year for the first time. Slow start to the season but after the first few weeks almost a whole season of consistently being our best player.

Yeah but last season was your worst season in a long time. Which does kind of prove my point, his performances never really seem to influence the teams output.
