NUFC/Sportswashing - Summer 2022

As someone with a family connection and a real soft spot for Darlington....

I'd like to see them genuinely "suffer". Not because it's Newcastle but because of the arrogance. Newcastle haven't "suffered". They haven't been "asset stripped". Theyve simply not lived up to the unrealistic expectations of a fanbase who 25 years ago almost won something.

Darlo fans watched their club become wealthy with George Reynolds. He built the stadium. He delivered a "club that tries". He signed championship and ex prem players like Wijnhard and Joachim... and I really do think he believed in the Darlo project.

The "project" failed. Darlington now don't have a ground and aren't in the league. That's "suffering" if you are a football fan.

And I hope to god that Newcastle fans one day get that dose of reality. Because if any club deserves it (and let's be honest... no club deserves that... but if one did) its Newcastle.

Here’s some comments from someone who has actually experienced suffering as well:

13th May 2020:

“You as the loyal fans do have a big say in this. I implore you all to unite to protect your beloved club and city. They are making this move not with your best interests in mind, but solely to serve themselves. Their hearts will not genuinely be in the club that means everything to you. Now is the moment to stand tall together for the game, your club, your city and your country in order to slam shut the door on this offensive deal.”

26th June 2020:

"Imagine if the person you loved was brutally murdered days before your wedding, inside his consulate as he was getting the necessary documents for the official marriage. Then the killers get away with it, how would you react?

"Dear Newcastle fans, I understand you are frustrated with the current owner, but believe me Mohamed Bin Salman and the people around him are far worse.

"If this takeover happens, it may turn a bad dream into a horrific nightmare."

30th July 2020

She said: “This is a victory for human rights and decency and clear defeat for Mohamed Bin Salman and his efforts to sports-wash his human rights record. I’m grateful to the Premier League for putting principles and values ahead of profit.

"I’m thankful to the Newcastle United Fans, Members of Parliament and NGOs who spoke out against this deal.

"Let this defeat send a strong message to the leadership in Saudi Arabia that they will not be able to use their money to cover up their human rights record or protect those responsible for Jamal’s murder.

And then 7th October 2021:

However, Ms Cengiz said: “It doesn’t make sense because everyone knows the government [in Saudi Arabia] controls everything.

“The current Saudi regime has a crown prince who is managing everything in the country. The point is this… how do the players, the fans and the director of Newcastle accept this situation?

“I am really sad about this point. I guess money is more important than anything in this life.”

She added: “I want to remind them there are some values more [important] than money. It’s so heart-breaking for me to remind the West of these values.”

I remember all the abuse the mags hurled at her, and the petition 130k of them signed slammed her for having “no connection to English football”. Sums up your average mag these days really. The ridiculous self pitying whinging about the “suffering” under Ashley has been a constant with them as well. Just the most awful people.

"Maddison believes #LCFC's lack of 'big club' status is responsible for him falling out of favour with Southgate"

How the fuck do they know what he believes?

They're f***ing barmy this lot.
If he can’t get in the England squad currently because Leicester aren’t a big club, why would he go to Newcastle and be in the same situation.

I'm currently on holiday with the kids at Butlins. Watched today's match in the pavilion. A good few Sunderland fans in there, but front and centre in front of the main screen, of course, full family, all decked out in Mags shirts, supporting Coventry.

Got talking to a lad and his missus who were from down south, Arsenal fans, and they were both commenting on how weird it seems for a fan of a club, any club, to go and watch their rivals, in full colours.

It ain't just us that have noticed what a strange bunch of weirdos they are.

What is it with them about Stalking players? Putting pictures of f***ing bridges on their social media feeds & photoshopping them in Mag kits? The Lad may just not want to be employed by people who would castrate him if he was gay or kill his kids if they were the wrong type of Muslim.
@Exile 1968, maybe you can do one of your subtle replies using your classy artwork showing blood stained hands and money over that feckin awful set of barcode stripes.

Ah, "support the team, not the regime" eh @ geordiedan? How did that go under Big Mike? Shouting at shops, questions in Parliament, harassing innocent people just trying to do their jobs, mass boycotting of games leading to a 10,000 season ticket giveaway (which was snapped up), abuse of the owner in public situations. Care to explain?
I’ve already explained on behalf of myself. I couldn’t be any clearer tbh. Best ask the folk in question to explain if you want answers regards the above.
Wa suffad!!
Wuv suffad Pete. Wuv. 🙄

Don’t think this bloke is a Newcastle fan pal.
Maddison is a wanker so well suited to them ! No doubt will suddenly become a should be playing for England
He should. He’s quality. I think it’s his attitude that Southgate doesn’t like.

🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈🙈
Ever heard of sarcasm. I know it sometimes doesn’t work through text, but sometimes it’s so glaringly obvious that even the most docile should see it.

The bridges thing is just banter mate. It’s just escalated after people started putting pictures up a while ago for the craic, but you’s like to make out it’s something that it’s not. Some of the flags banter is a bit cringey tbf. Wor flags do a cracking job but I hate all this wor flags are better than your flags shite that goes on.
