Just the best bloke. Taught me when I was 8, massive family friend, he met President Carter while I was in his class & shook his hand. Said he would never wash it again. Met him 30 years later when I moved near him, asked him jokingly if he had.....he said "no....& its my wanking hand" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he was dry as sticks & hilarious. True story.

I had the misfortune of driving in Newcastle as the match kicked out.

I'm not one to defend the bastards, but there was a lot less of the Saudi away shirt on display than you might think. Probably one in a few hundred. Has that plan backfired I wonder?

I love some of the comments on social media like. On my personal twitter none of it comes up, but we get loads of football “suggestions” on the SO37 account, including them.

One was saying how no one would dare go in the club shop under Mike Ashley and the new owners have “reconnected the club with the fans”.

No, no they haven’t. The fans think they’re going to start winning everything and therefore have all came climbing out of the woodwork.

I should have said is the questions around our fans continued support.

I haven’t seen a single article anywhere saying our fans are scum and should stop supporting the team but that is the overriding rhetoric on here

Just checked and it was around 47k. I think Keith Downie was making a big deal about the previous friendly being a sell out. I think this was just a tongue in cheek post for bites and because Downie was making a big deal of the sell out and this one didn’t.
