Freudian slip? The BBC is a public service broadcaster. They have to cover women’s sports, it’s part of their remit. Like they have to have children programmed, and educational stuff etc etc

That's one take from it yes, although it's interesting that the FA felt the need to ban women outright from playing the game when other sports (cricket and tennis for example) did not suffer the same fate...So it was more popular because basically all the blokes were off fighting or dead....
BBC article says it all
Really couldn't care less either way I am abit baffled as to why they keep saying about this lass to being one away from breaking England's scoring record....how are they even comparable when there is such a gap in the quality of the sport
Didn't a college mens team hammer one of the top womens internationals
In all seriousness, I don’t think the sport will catch up to the promotion. So in 20 years it’ll just drop off againThis might not go down too well but why are the BBC pushing this sport down our throats on their main channel?
Unbelievable the coverage for this minority sport.
I did. “Sinister”?Have a look at post #11 before you start spouting off.
Why is white shorts and periods taking the piss? Serious issue for many![]()
Can only assume so.
You're just upset because you're missing Eastenders or your cooking programmeThis might not go down too well but why are the BBC pushing this sport down our throats on their main channel?

Woman's football is great, I hope my daughter starts playing when she's older. I hope England win the tournament.....but in no way is it on a par with men's football.TV's generally come with a remote control these days, and there's quite a few channels available, plus all the other stuff - no one is forced to watch BBC.
Can't see a problem tbh - if you like summat and it's on telly, then watch it - if you don't, then don't .
Similarly with this snobbery about not terming it as 'womens football' on the internet or wherever.
Why does it matter ?
Why should men's football have any sort of presidence over the women's game?
Why not? I will be intrigued by your reply. Surely it cannot be misogeny. All part of the new agenda, SKY too. I just ignore it.
Next up F1 ladies? More womens RUgby? haha
I agree with your last comment in particular. Probably because Womens' Football was banned at one time. Mens' football was banned in the Middle Ages to enforce Archery practice as well.Woman's football is great, I hope my daughter starts playing when she's older. I hope England win the tournament.....but in no way is it on a par with men's football.
For gods sakeHoy up attendance figures in the 60s going forwarded from then.
