What a load of clickbait shite! As is Haaland is worth his release clause
Acting sensibly is a must when rival top-flight clubs are trying to take advantage of United’s new-found wealth. Everton, for example, reportedly slapped a £60million price tag on Dominic Calvert-Lewin. And for what? The England international bagged a measly five goals in 2021-22 and has an inferior all-time return than current number nine Callum Wilson.

ChronicleLive also understands Newcastle are interested in Toffees winger Anthony Gordon. Despite enjoying his first full campaign as a professional last season, the Magpies are being quoted around the £35million mark.

Combine the two figures and Everton have demanded £95million for two run-of-the-mill Premier League players. For context, Manchester City have just spent £54million on Erling Haaland - one of the hottest properties in world football.
Any chance they can compare themselves with Man City.

They aren't the brightest are they.

If Wilson is the better player then why do they want DCL.

There own articles destroy their own arguments 🤣

Thanks mate. Sorted 👍
Deluded and clueless and even coming out with "It's proven" about the 80,000 fans 🤪 Obviously he doesn't know that 30,000 places weren't taken up by 30,000 individual fans. It was also due to people taking up multiple places in the queue, people already with tickets just having a nosey at the seats available and even ticket touts so the true number is less, possibly quite a lot less.

Aye there's no denying they could get 1,000's more for games but not as many as they think. Like I've said, the ticket prices will go up well before they even think about a bigger stadium either through redevelopment or a brand new one. We saw the grumblings about the friendly tickets and also about the kit price increase and ticket prices will go up as long as they keep selling out.

Given the cost of a new stadium then it could well be quite a few seasons of continued success before this is even seriously considered. Nobody would build a new stadium straight away and who is to say they will even get up the top of the table regularly enough to even consider it? It's nice to dream but to believe it would happen very soon is just fantasy.

He's also tweeted about it and @Exile 1968 needs the comment below and hoy up that image and link to the forum that shows what some fans did.

It wasn't actually 30k+ individual fans but just the amount of places in the queue people taken up by taking multiple places on numerous devices. Carry on fueling the delusion about a 100,000 stadium though! 🤣

As I've said I hope they build a new stadium at 100k & it costs a Billion. It'll be the biggest white elephant ever within 4 years when the Saudis buy a big club.

@Sporty I'm hardly turning a blind eye to the human rights issues if I'm here discussing and condemning them.

I think it wasn't so much the advertising of Sports Direct that was the issue, it was that he wasn't paying the club to advertise it. He benefits from that while the club doesn't. I think all the other clubs you mentioned received payment for their advertising too, happy to be corrected on that. Not growing the commercial revenue of the club at all since he got it is a major complaint against his ownership, and it's entirely football related. We'd be in a better place now, and able to spend more regarding FFP, if he wasn't so shite an owner.

Lots of fans did latch onto the zero hour contract stuff, because they didn't like the bloke and thought it was somehow a way to get him out of the club. Same with shouting at shops, calls for boycotts etc.

I wasn't into any of that, mainly because I didn't believe it had any chance of success. I did enjoy ripping the piss out of a pal who frightened the poor staff inside with all the other troglodytes shouting at the shop window though.

Anyway you're right, it's been dropped now as far as I'm aware. Protesting non-football related things when it suits them is a bad look

Fair enough. That's a fairly rationale response mate. It just comes across a bit hypocritical for me. No doubt there's some of our fans are secretly jealous as well mind. The chances of you having even a slight bit of success has increased now which is a bit shit for us but we've got our own club to focus on.

Hopefully won't be too long before we're back in the PL and the we've got the derbies again. We may get similar investment but I pray to God it's nobody like what youse have got. I mean that genuinely. I'd rather take someone who's financially weaker and will put a bit less money in ...

Not Newcastle fans fault like but it looks ridiculous when youse are putting the Tea-Towels on the head and dressing up in the white robe things.

f***ing hell, saying they will sell 80k season tickets, because of the 30k that tried to buy those tickets that were recently put on general sale, and a 100k stadium is a must.

Every time I go into work the mags are talking about building a new stadium. Their new owners have explicitly said that they aren’t going to do it:

“However, a new stadium for the club, which was taken over in a £305million deal late last year, is not on the agenda. Ghodoussi added: “Are we going to build a new stadium? No. It would be like tearing your soul out."

New training ground isn’t happening for at least 3 years either. Why it would take so long wasnt really explained.

“Ghodoussi told us. “That will probably take three years, maybe a little bit more, because we have to do designs, planning, all of these things”

Meanwhile they have signed only 2 attacking players in nearly 2 years: Wood and Willock. And their squad looks pretty shit to me - currently midtable at best.

Yet if Howe has them 11th or 12th at Christmas time he will get absolutely savaged by the fans who’ve spent months deluding themselves that champions league football in a 80k stadium is just around the corner.

If it's going to take 3 or 4 years for a new training ground god only knows how long before a new stadium would take.
