Are you suggesting that the 15yrs of Ashley's reign was a tactic to make us an attractive proposition to the Saudis in 2021?

I think you're crediting him with way more long term vision than the man is capable of.
No, what I'm saying is, by having you in the black, you were an attractive propositon to an investment fund. If he'd got you into debt as Shepherd did and as many of you wanted, you wouldn't have been.

Best owners in the world 🙄 dear god

Guess she dare not take a picture of her girls with the real owner....a cynic may she that he would want to marry them :(

Those 3 are not the owners and have zero power to go against the wishes of PIF. They couldn't even stump up their share for the January window and a special share was issued. It is tragic the way they go on.

We were in debt though. c£100m of debt to Mike Ashley.

I'm not giving him credit for running us like one of his brands, when any progressive, reasonably ambitious owner could have enjoyed greater returns on and off the pitch. Plus, him acting the **** to fans, managers, players, and club legends doesn't help my opinion of him either.

Were the situations reversed, you would have hated Ashley.
