£20 for a friendly is a bit much imo like.
They have potentially 100,000 people through the gates. Some of these people might not get the chance, so the club should make these affordable. A dad and 2 kids is gonna be £40 then transport, bait etc. Won't be far off £100 for a friendly. They could have done ten and five for the tickets, makes it more affordable and gets people in who may not be able to afford premier league football. The fact there's two friendlies as well instead the usual one friendly means they'll make the same money they would if it was one game.
Bad move from the club.

They got what they wanted and these side effects are just what happens as a consequence. this is the start imo, soon enough proper supporters will be priced out and replaced by football tourists.

although they way we were consistently mocked for making football affordable, you’d think theyd be buzzing about these price hikes
