I'm all for Saudi bashing but to say they detest the west is a bit misleading TBF. They basically detest anyone who is on the side of Iran, they've been allies to the US and the UK for years now, business wise anyway. That's starting to change cos of the US policy towards Iran but if anything they've been closest to the west than most other middle east countries in the last few years.

Now, their attitude towards Yemen and journalists that don't agree with their outlook, those are definite points worth making. The fact that they're investing in numerous sports to wash themselves clean in the eyes of the West is another fair point.

Just so he looked to be the nasty fat controller they always called him. It was all down to money though as everyone knew.

Now they have Saudis who are horrible, horrible people but have money. So they can do no wrong and we must defend them in case they run away with the money.

Fair points but the " business wise" is so important in the allies part. I dont believe for one minute they would be allies without financial reward and particularly not with culture.
