Of course, I’m sure before NUFC’s takeover you were all 100% writing to your MPs to register your absolute disgust at the UK’s involvement in the Saudi led coalition in Yemen. Moral outrage? You would of course, should say the Qataris come calling next year for SAFC, reject all such advances out of hand. Bullocks.
You OK hun?

If my MP backed the government selling weapons to mass murder civilians, that would be the equivalent. If they spoke in parliament to request support to sell the club to mass murderers, that would be an equivalent.

That’s the question and the thing that bothers me. ‘Where are the decent fans shooting them down’?
This. The silence is deafening

Your state of Saudi funded the 9/11 atrocity and detest the west. You are Saudi UTD and just like the LIV golfers you're scum for supporting their regime.

Another apologist using hypothetical situations to justify backing a regime that murders children. Nice morals, mate.

Compare the dissent over Ashley compared to the “there’s nothing we can do” so we might as well beg for a year, campaign for a year, plead to MPs for a year and then wear teatowels screaming “we’re the richest club in the world”.

I mean, that’s just normal right?

It’s not the fact they’ve been taken over by the Saudis, it’s everything they’ve done as a fanbase through it. And the silence from the “decent” ones is incredible. Saudis picked the perfect club for sport washing. They still won’t see it though. “Warrabout”…

I'm all for Saudi bashing but to say they detest the west is a bit misleading TBF. They basically detest anyone who is on the side of Iran, they've been allies to the US and the UK for years now, business wise anyway. That's starting to change cos of the US policy towards Iran but if anything they've been closest to the west than most other middle east countries in the last few years.

Now, their attitude towards Yemen and journalists that don't agree with their outlook, those are definite points worth making. The fact that they're investing in numerous sports to wash themselves clean in the eyes of the West is another fair point.

Don't forget what they have done previous as well.

They were known for always protesting.. they knew Ashley saved them and did spend just not enough (stick the net spend up ya hoop) so they had to use workers rights as a stick to beat him with as well. Just so he looked to be the nasty fat controller they always called him. It was all down to money though as everyone knew.

Now they have Saudis who are horrible, horrible people but have money. So they can do no wrong and we must defend them in case they run away with the money.

You can't call Staveley funny looking either that's not fair.. yet was plenty posters of drawings of Ashley calling him..

The double standards and hypocrisy is unbelievable...

But wa got wa club back!

Edit:

What was that other line.. but Ashley is a liar proven in court!!

Aye that equates to bombing kids and stoning gays

This, it's the sheer hypocrisy of it all.

Fair points but the " business wise" is so important in the allies part. I dont believe for one minute they would be allies without financial reward and particularly not with culture. Along with that I believe weapons and oil exchange is the only reason they're tolerated. Guess money makes the world go around

If Newcastle were owned by Kyril and co and Sunderland were taken over by the PIF, Reuben, and Staveley, Sunderland fans would be crucified by Newcastle fans in near-exact ways that are happening now, in this situation, so I get the resentment on top of the natural hatred by a portion of fans.
