I really can't see how they can stop the fan migration.....due mainly to the very poor design of the ground.

The fact that it's possible to walk from South Stand to North Stand via the East Stand, either down the front of the stands, or the walkway between the lower rows and upper rows, makes the migration near on impossible.

You either have to fence all 3 stands off, reduce the size of the gap between front row of seating and the advertising hoardings, or do both.

The gap between the front row of the North Stand and advertising hoardings.......you could manoeuvre a tank along it:lol:

Hopefully with more season tickets sold, and some of these occupying the North Stand lower, it will stop this migration( or as I call it, the pleasant Sunday morning constitutional along the prom).

Would love to know what the "plans" are the club are thinking of to stop it........as they've only got weeks left before the season starts.
When I went to the opening of the ground against Ajax I must admit it felt odd being able to just wander around the whole ground.

As long as it makes bellends stop standing up in front of small people especially kids and preventing them from seeing the match.
Yup 100% definitely!

Because then hopefully people wont buy a season / ticket in an area that they know 100% of people stand then moan about it, when they had plenty of other options to buy all over the place.

Standing allows you to breath through your diaphragm instead of your chest, allowing your lungs to fill with more air, therefore making your voice more powerful. Expect the knee booing from the south stand, to be a lot louder next year.

Tbf, if the club release a statement to say those migrating are potentially delaying the introduction of safe standing, the stands will police themselves.

Stewards (proper ones) on each walkway at either side of the south stand. (Pitch level, mid level, behind the stand).

Re-program turnstiles so only people with a South Stand ticket can get into the south stand. Lock the door between the SS and SEC.
Aye, this.
Addresses a few of the issues by immediately stopping any migration.
Stewards also up the back of the South Stand to stop people going round the back walkway

Always the case with our fans, buy tickets in boisterous areas then moan When many other options available .

Absolutely. Which is why I’m pushing the case for safe standing. If there’s a designated standing area, people can choose where to sit/stand accordingly.
Agreed. However if we do get a standing area ( for which I am in complete agreement) then there must be zero tolerance for those who still want to stand in other parts of the ground.
People should also apply a degree of common sense when buying tickets. Only the real thickos would take kids in the south stand when everyone knows there will be standing.
Agreed.
