1) I agree with the family zone and I think a lot of people do, but whether it will happen god knows.
2) I highly doubt away fans will ever move back down. Having the natural segregation works for the club. I agree with you btw.
3) Fan migration is being looked at and there's another meeting in a couple of weeks about it. It seems like a fairly easy fix.

I really can't see how they can stop the fan migration.....due mainly to the very poor design of the ground.

The fact that it's possible to walk from South Stand to North Stand via the East Stand, either down the front of the stands, or the walkway between the lower rows and upper rows, makes the migration near on impossible.

You either have to fence all 3 stands off, reduce the size of the gap between front row of seating and the advertising hoardings, or do both.

The gap between the front row of the North Stand and advertising hoardings.......you could manoeuvre a tank along it:lol:

Hopefully with more season tickets sold, and some of these occupying the North Stand lower, it will stop this migration( or as I call it, the pleasant Sunday morning constitutional along the prom).

Would love to know what the "plans" are the club are thinking of to stop it........as they've only got weeks left before the season starts.

bottom tier in the south stand would be ideal. might help move some of the daft lads from the back towards the front of the stand and have all the lively fans spread out evenly around the stand. would make the ground look better too if the sections directly behind the goal were full of people standing.

the club would have to offer the ST holders in those areas first refusal, and if they didn't want to be in safe standing bit, then give them a discount on a ST elsewhere in the ground as a sweetener. can easily be done with a tiny bit of enthusiasm

Not going to happen quickly. I hear they will review it after trials at other Championship clubs but the Sol was never designed with rail seating in mind (unlike Brentford, for example) so it would be quite costly.

what have you heard like? there is safe standing sections at celtic, old trafford, stamford bridge, cardiff (if memory serves correctly) and none of them were designed with it in mind.

what is it about the SOL that makes it more costly than other grounds? surely you just remove the seats that are there now, and install the hand railings?

As @DonaldDownTheWing mentioned, there was a meeting recently... The impression given was that the club are flexible with fans that want to relocate their ST seats, should something like this be implemented

Is there still a disabled section between the lower and upper south stand? If so, it will be the upper section first.
