You’re arguing with zero evidence against someone who’ve given you evidence provided directly from a meeting with the clubHe seems to be talking about the agency staff specifically. He reckons they got 30+ hours a week (all over the place not just stadium of light) and all moved on to new careers during covid.
Maybe he's got an anecdotal example, but there's no way that's typical.
I said you literally didn't say it in the first sentence (as someone claimed).
The simple fact is, hardly any safety stewards, employed by SAFC or otherwise, changed careers because of covid. Maybe a handful did, but it'll be insignificant.
He didn't give any evidence to be fair. You’re arguing with zero evidence against someone who’ve given you evidence provided directly from a meeting with the clubI’ve just had a read through this thread mate and I’m struggling to understand why you’re so against this concept?
A significant quantity of people in events based roles left those roles and started working in things like manufacturing and distribution where there was a sudden jobs boom. A lot of EU workers also quickly went home when covid started getting bad (first hand experience) which further increased the demand in manufacturing for example.
Against ..trying to recreate a bygone age ..........it would be like watching from the fulwell when the ground capacity was down to18.000.
No wouldn't impact on capacity. Retro fitted at Wolves, Man Utd, Derby, Villa and loads of others.I’m for it in principle, but wouldn’t it reduce the capacity?
Presumably you’d need the “step” between each row to be higher (so that someone sitting down can see the game, if the person in front chooses to stand), meaning less rows?

Asking people to behave at a football match should really be an issue.Aye, the migration of fans to the back is the underlying cause of the majority of problems. There are a few ideas being discussed to solve this problem.
I’m very much in favour of it. I think a good starting point would be to fit out the south stand rows 15-41 with it. That area predominantly stands already. The lower rows in front of the concourse could remain seated for those that want to be part of the atmosphere but can’t stand for 90 mins.As far as I’m aware, with rail seating, the seats are locked in place when standing is permitted. The point of having rail “seating” is so that the seats can be folded down if and when it’s required.
If it’s set up for standing, you wouldn’t be able to sit.
Fan density under any rail system is simply not anything like the "good old days".What makes you say that?
