Durham’s T20 Campaign

Durham: 3 wins in about 14 games. First class county team playing like a bunch of U18s on their first championship. Even that’s doing a disservice because Franklin clearly won’t play any of the young talent so we’ll never know

This must be their worst season on record and you really can't blame the players for most of what's happened. The lack of scoring comes from poor coaching, bad morale and silly umpiring decisions (calling wides inconsistently as an example). Randomly shuffling the batting order and taking off/being reluctant to play younger players who performed well (Bushnell etc.) means there's no such thing as batting partnerships with Durham. Overall the club seems more interested in concerts and big paydays than cricket. You can't even look at the county games for inspiration, terrible all round. The decision to play coggers a few games ago literally cost us the dub. Why play an expensive bowler in a tight game? I'll save you the bother of seeing what the FaceBook lot are saying but Franklin, Beefy and Bostock need some good reflection time here. Apalling

Or maybe just maybe the players aren't good enough

He was progressing nicely, being made t20 captain and he was off

Hardly played and come back not half the player of before

Thing is though, he played and took a great catch in a final at lords. They were building him up and he was going to captain the t20 team and then we got Colin graves trying to destroy the club

He was off to notts, did nowt and has come back looking a busted flush

Buck lies with the coach who continues to select the same players and lineup every game. Questions need to start and be asked of the board also who remain silent, don't want to speak to members/arrange members forums. They're clearly too embarrassed. They don't even speak to Marty these days either.
