Hope he's OK mate. I'll have to have a pop in and see him one afternoon. Bit scared of the baldy cock wavers with their stone island they bought from marmaris next door though. Do you think I'll be OK?
The Bird changed hands over lockdown didn't it? Knew two of the barmaids in there.

Freeman years ago told them foxtrot oscar. As the land is owned by the council if they moved the council would be quids in. And yes the council won't let them build on Leezes Park or Nuns/ Hunter Moor.
That is how I understood it also. I also believe that extending the existing ground is virtually impossible, which leaves the alternative being to rebuild, somewhere like Kingston Park

With Brookesy there you will be safe as houses!! Didn't go into Tavern on Saturday but actually called in the Bird for a quick pint which I do occasionally. It was fairly busy, always busier than the Tavern early afternoon on Saturdays. Mind I don't bother with it when season starts

70k isnt big enough

Even the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool would struggle to fill 90k regularly, never mind the mags.

Doesn't need to be any larger than 60,000 and that would be optimistic for some games. You are correct that Town Moor would be the ideal scenario, not happening though. Could look at where the Arena is now i suppose.
You would not be able to fill that on a regular basis.
52,000 is more than enough for you and anyone who says different is deluded.

I know. That is what i said / meant.
60k for a few games perhaps. A few more if we gave increased away allocations. Look at City. Great having a winning team. Regardless of how good the team is that one supports, it doesn't increase the disposable income of the fans. Success = more games = fans have to be selective.

So they want a 90000 capacity based on the 49000 who go regular

The mags fan base will suddenly spring to around 85000 with away fans at the ground

What a load of shite. They’ll be booing this coming season if they are not top four all the way

Howe will get an obe this season

Could easily sell out a 60k stadium.

I think theirs a reason they aren't releasing all the season tickets and my GUESS is some sort of redevelopment of the East Stand. We have enough 'match by match' places available to move everyone out of the East Stand and offer an alternative seat for the duration.

From what I’m led to believe that is a no goer

Doesn't clubs have to leave tickets for matchday sales?

Talking to a mag in Wooler on weekend. Cant afford to go now and both agreed common man will be priced out. He praised our prices but in turn thinks we'll be in champ for a while. Said I wasnt fussed as prem spending is nuts.

Not sure, but there was 10k gave up when rafa bombed. Recent 1k went on sale. So, 9k'ish being sold match by match that were ST's.
You were selling them when the Saudis took over last season. I remember reading it.

But I had a meeting with a mag from Shotton Hall who was telling me you had 50k season card holders and 20 or 25k on the waiting list.

I had to explain the impossibility of this due to the amount of away fans along with corporates and match day tickets held back, he was full of shite.

Also told me all his family we professional footballers.

Seems to have realised he can generate likes and retweets by sharing whatever empty headed drivel passes through his tiny mind.

The shrieking headchoppers fc fans do seem to take a break from abusing widows, pretending the PL is wrecking their mental health etcetc to shower the gormless twat with praise.
:lol::lol:
