I wasn't aware of it. Likely because Sunderland fans don't go on and and one about the actions of a single fan unlike the mags and the non-seat shitting incident.

Perhaps it deserves more attention.
I’ve watched it many times and I can’t see a kid’s face near his aal fella. Skylon does like to embellish a little, just for attention and likes.

Using the same approach as used in the Athletic article the signings of Ferdinand, Batty, Barton and Ginola would cost 107m, 58m, 51m and 32m in today's terms. That is c250m which would make them the top spenders in world football presently.

They therefore became a top 6 side by outspending everyone else. It failed of course and led to zero trophies.
Usually your good with your stats but nee one would be paying £107m for Big Les these days. Quality bustling centre forward but we bought and sold him for £6m which wasn’t massive money at the time.

It's worse than that - he deliberately got his cock out on live TV with a watching audience of millions including many kids. Own it - the kid is a tit.

Of course he is, but I’m owning nowt. Saying that my mate did the same to a row of Jocks behind us when Gazza scored his wonder goal against Scotland in 96. Hilarious at the time when pissed, a bit embarrassing now that we’re both north of 50.

You cannot use normal inflation - I have used inflation in EPL revenues as a proxy for football inflation. The FT referred to it as the best attempt yet to compare football transfer fees over time. I'll take that.

107m for an English striker who just scored 24 in 37 in the top flight is a bargain when you consider the fees quoted for DCL or Toney.

But if Barton cost £4.5m at the same time how come Sir Les Paul was worth 3x that?

Transfermkt has Ferdinand at 8.55m and Barton at 4.05m. The estimations are 107m and 50.7m. The ratios before and after are 2.1x. Anyway the point remains that NUFC's period of "success" was achieved via a spending spree comparable to that of Man City/Chelsea in recent times. I've chatted with him before at a work event (very knowledgeable) and if I ever see him again I will ask what the actual fee was as Transfermkt and wiki disagree.

You should know about embellishments ' your fans shitting in the stands', you little liar. Its easy this ,isnt it? Why are you looking at a bloke waving his willy about over and over again? The bird inn B.N.P bus wont like that. Had anymore mock minutes silences for the kids dying in Yemen, you absolute mess?

Gotcha, the ratios make sense at £8.6m. Was widely reported that we bought and sold for £6m at the time. He was an absolute steal despite having his share of injuries

Embarrassing anytime, you massive pervert

Mock minutes silences for dead kids, whilst waving your cocks about? no thanks, I'll give it a miss, sounds absolutely lifting patter (typical washy mag pretendy gremlin crack).

Aye. It's the only place they dare go in Washy.
