To be fair, prior to Shearer's arrival we were also a top six club (very briefly) when Cole and Ferdinand were on the books.They really go over the top about signings. Best CH in the world etc.The best player they ever had was Shearer. He was outstanding in the premier league. He was also one of them so always 100% commited. They only reason they were ever a top 6 club in the 90's.

.It's always comical when they sign a player who is generally unknown in England. Loads of people claim they have seen plenty of the player as they claim to regularly watch games from the team they are plucked from, no matter which league the team plays in. Basically they watched a YouTube highlight video and waxed lyrical about it with hyperbole and superlatives.
