Kalvin Phillips signing for Manchester City

Harsh on Milner that mind. He's won the PL a few times, CL winner, youngest PL player/scorer at one point and dozens of England caps. Same with Phil Neville. I understand what you're saying they're not/weren't very influential players at the very highest level but they still had a big part play. Carragher won the CL and a quadruple with Liverpool in the early 2000s too iirc
I'd take milner again all day long.
I'd probably take Carragher too.
Phil Neville? lol

Good money for Leeds while they can get it

They’ll be down within two seasons, if not sooner

Last season was really his season to kick on, shame he was injured most of it. City, Liverpool etc, need these type of players in the squad English lads who will work hard and do a job . Very good signing for City, providing he stays injury free, he's alot better than what people seem to think on here.
Obviously the SMB critics know more than Pep mate.

Solid player. Will cover every blade of grass to win the ball back then play an intelligent pass.

He’ll do well there, never be hugely appreciated but I reckon Pep (and even Gareth) see his worth.

Good signing that.

Leeds without Phillips and Raphinia next season could be interesting.

It’s why Iam not really arsed about being a prem club. Losing your best players to another competition I can live with, but not when in same division, it’s soul destroying

..... Phillips who is quoted to have said, after winning two Premierships, a Champions League winners medal and a World Cup winners medal.... "I needed a challenge, all this winning things is getting tedious"

Terrible signing for Man City imho.
I agree. He’s not good enough for them. He’s good enough to play close to the top but it doesn’t make any sense Man City signing him.

40 million plus, :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
That’s it confirmed, he’s gonna be a legend now you’ve laughed at it
Have they got have a certain number of English players in their squad?
They’ve got a fair few
Will guarantee him a game ahead of Henderson at the World Cup
Sadly. I try not to be biased but both England and Liverpool are different without Henderson

I don't quite get it like. Maybe Pep will bring his game on massively or maybe he's simply an available English squad player at a not too ridiculous price while others are developed at the same time.
