There are, you have to want to work, no ones going to knock on your door and offer you one.

The problem isn't people not wanting a job, or not looking for one, though.

Over two thirds (68%) of people in poverty are in work. The highest percentage since records began.

One of the greatest con tricks this government has pulled has been convincing people that being in work avoids poverty.

..will they do pay on the day next season?
Did last season so can’t see why not.
A big screen telly probably costs less than whatever telly you bought back then.

If someone is skint, a telly is probably the best thing to spend their money on. This whole weirdness about big TVs (costing next to nowt) is a bit daft.
You missed out the flat they are flat screen TVs. As opposed to who knows what

I dont work for the government, but have been involved in recruiting. I say what I actually see. Btw, I worked 2 jobs when I had to.

One of the greatest con tricks is the definition of poverty as a relative not an absolute

Cheers Al give that a go on monday

How did you do it marra
Just emailed mine and my sons seat and customer numbers to the ticket office [email protected] ....noted the seats where I wanted to move to, added the new season ticket holder to my network...the ticket office confirmed they had moved mine and my sons, then bought the extra seat next to our new ones, emailed the ticket office back for them to confirm all three of us were sitting together and They confirmed back straight away

Or maybe you see what you say. I'll go with the data, rather than your anecdotal experience and its confirmation bias, thanks. Work is less effective in warding off poverty than it has ever been. It's good that you did ok forty years ago, though, when times were tight. 👍
