because someone points out the execution of a 14 year old by a country who happen to own our friends up the road this fella hopes the poster is next. What kind of warped minds do these people have. Dress it however you want but the execution of a 14 yr old is abhorrent. You can defend or deflect it is evil. The kid is a minor.
“Dress it however you want”. How do you dress up the execution of a 14 year old boy. I would think that’s beyond dressing up tbf.

Slight topic change but im to scared to start a new thread!
We live through Newcastle, have had season ticket with my Dad for over 20 years (just for a bit of background).
Got an email on Monday from daughter’s school to say how delighted they are at getting NUFC in to do ball skills with them and what not. All well and good but im sure you can see why I might be slightly displeased.
So I’ve written to the school to ask if any other football groups were contacted and how its come about that a more than questionable state funded organisation has been chosen to work with Children and what sort of example is it setting to them?
Ive also asked if there is anything in the curriculum to discuss how bad these sttes are and if so, does this represent a contradiction within the curriculum which simply hasn’t been highlighted (due to sport washing of course).

No response from the school and I dont expect one, and im not the sort of person to withdraw her from the class as I dobt want her to miss out.
But if doing football training with 5 year old kids is not the biggest example of sport washing, I dont know what is. Get them while they are young etc.!
I think you’re looking a little too deep into this buddy. Just let your daughter enjoy the experience. This isn’t a new thing btw.

Im sure the research showed the potential for the fan base to be perfect for a sports washing project, however I can imagine MBS and his cronies are even surprised themselves at just how easy it has been for them.

Fair play for making your point to the school mate but we're pissing in the wind with this sort if thing im afraid. Living over here I think we've just got to take our medicine with these sorts of things

You seem to have forgot about the bit where he brought a team from the bottom of league 4 up to the premier league. Never mind that bit though. 😆
And you seem to have forgotten that Bournemouth have been spending way beyond their means since 2011 (when they were in the old 3rd division). They were being bankrolled (and still are) by the Russian Maxim Demin.

But, nor wor Beheaddie is git class...

It's still a good achievement but he had a major leg up with various cash injections.

I'll admit I'd not seen much of him but having seen him I'll stick to the fact he's capable. Decent and most importantly he's better than we've got. That in reality is the way forward - bring in better than what we have.
Howe - despite my initial thoughts has up to now turned chalk into cheese. Joelinton the prime example. So onwards and upwards.
I think this might be the first post from a mag I think talks sense.

Newcastle always had a decent team, they were definitely better than the league position was showing. Bruce is a terrible manager and the fact Howe come in and made a proper training schedule shows that it wasn’t just about bringing players in.

You’re also correct that building slowly is the right way to do it, just keep improving on what you have and success will follow. It will also give you huge depth. Imagine signing a word class player and not having anyone to work with (Man Utd) or if that one player gets injured you’re replacing him with a 3rd rate player. It would disrupt the squad. The problem I see with this way is (most) mags fans will want to be top 4 this season and will complain they didn’t spend £1bn to get there. Some would rather see big transfers than good transfers, the Wood deal tells you that.

I’m not one to be mad at Newcastle here, success is inevitable but I’m mad at the fans for looking past how they’re doing it. In the 90’s you hated Man Utd for buying the league. You were the team a lot of fans wanted to see win the league to stop the power house Man Utd, now you’re actually worse than them. You’ve got possibly the most unethical owners in the world and are actively celebrating that fact by wearing tea towels on your head.

(I’m not saying any of that is you) I do feel for the fans that are still the working class hero type and not the win at all cost, fuck morals

Agreed provided the highlighted section is within reason. Those who expect to win the league this decade will be dissatisfied. The odd Cup and challenging top 6 then i agree.

i'm pretty sure thats complete bollocks. they said they wont "control" newcastle. not that they didnt own them. as if thats true
It blows my mind.

“We’re owned by PIF” and investment fund.
Football clubs are not investments. Yes it can get you to certain tables or to meet other people etc. but PIF are one of the biggest investment groups in the world, so what table aren’t inviting them already?

What’s shocking to me is how many sports they’re trying to wash themselves with. But at least we’re not just a bitter rival and the rest of the world is seeing it for what it is (except 1 nation)

Neil Warnock has 8 promotions - would you welcome him as NUFC manager?

It is a completely different skill set to earn promotion compared to pushing for top half of the premier league.

Good post, but you’re wrong with your view on expectations. Everyone WANTS to be Top 4, majority will be happy with top half and a decent pop at the cups.
Contrary to a lot of the posts on here, we’re a patient lot in general, we’ve had to be, winning f**k all for years.
