I don't understand why a club with 'unlimited money' is giving longstaff, schar and Dummet new deals and paying £15m for Targett who villa don't want.
The simple answer is to keep harmony and trusted servants who can do a job along with new additions.
Matt Targett deserves his contract because he's played beyond expectations. Dummet because he's a capable defensive left-back and a loyal servant and Longstaff because he has the potential to up his game much more and be a force to be reckoned with, which Howe is already working on as could be seen in later stages of the last season.
😂😂😂😂😂 you really are special aren't you.
Yes.

Trippier and Bruno show the intent.
Longstaff is a better player than people think and I think he'll up a gear in the next season.
Dan Burn is no slouch.
Nobody's expecting the top 4 next season or the season after. A slow and steady build is the key.
And Chris wood is there for half time entertainment?

Interesting you say Dan burn is no slouch mind 🤔

Whether they like it or not while they have Eddie Howe as manager they won't be attracting the real top stars
The elites get the first pick.
Eddie Howe will potentially make enough of a big name for himself that he becomes a big attraction as part of a club that is clearly on the up. It will take time and it can fail but we're on the right track as it stands and the optimism is sky-high.

Chris Wood was a panic buy but he did contribute to the 11th place finish as did everyone under Howe.

So did Steve Bruce then

I'd be absolutely buzzing to be signing Villa's reserve left back as well tbf.

Yes.
Its not what the vast majority of you expected or wanted though.

So did Stever Bruce, what?

I'm more than happy with Targett. He's a very capable left-back and can also contribute going forward when required. What's not to like?
You can also argue Dan Burn was Brighton's reserve center-half but both Targwett and Burn (along with the rest) have contributed to a fantastic second half of a season that was basically champions league challenging form rather than anything to do with fighting relegation.

Also, remember the transfer window is not open yet. So from Tomorrow, we will see what we can add to the ones already penciled into the squad and also see who is shipped out.

What did the vast majority want?

Big money signings. There's been a few I've seen complaining about needing to be more ambitious.

Burn is very very average as is Targett. Please continue with those signings. Also more like Wood would be lovely.

Proving my geordieness? Make a coherent point.
I can't be the only one worried about this Exile lad's wellbeing? This has shattered him.
King of the road's new login?

It hasn't shattered me in any way, shape or form. It's shattered your football club, which is now a shell & nationwide laughing stock.

Any fan would want a bit more ambition if the club seems to be stagnating.
Fans of Sunderland will offer up the same mindset if it appears the club stagnates. It's the nature of the beast.

Burn is very average compared to who?
Targett is very average compared to who?
As for Wood, he did his job and we'll see what he can offer in the games set up for him.

The happy with a slow rebuild stuff is shite like. If Howe has them in lower mid table by Xmas, the majority of mags will want him sacked.

Their support hasn’t rushed to defend the new ownership for a steady building process. They are desperate for big signings
For the resident skunks, this is you, this is your club and what you’ve let it represent. Scum.
