Its still way early in transfer window. everyone on holiday. we dont normally make any signings until July anyway



Also we've just had a 4 day weekend where lawyers, accountants, journalists, club staff etc will have all had time off. not really a surprise no news has arrived.

But it's a little different this time around, what with the pause in november, we aren't getting as long as we normally do, its normally 10 weeks or so.

Aye but last year we made our first signing on 3rd July (Carney - the back up keeper), and the year before it wasn't until 30th July(!!) in O'Brien.

We start 2 weeks earlier this year. And I know we are always slow movers. But it does seem Speakman and Harvey's modus operandi to take things patiently anyway. So whilst I'd love signings as much as everyone I'm trying not to get too worked up about lack of them for at least 3 weeks yet.

i believe they should be getting on top of it asap, not because i don't agree with your comment its more to do with our start date, they should be active as quickly as possible so, we don't lose valuable time, before we kick off our first game.

I have no idea what you're talking about but I do not have an account of any kind on 606, so pretty sure I haven't admitted anything, even if some wally has over there.

If it's anything like last time, that won't stop a bunch of weirdos deciding whatever they want to believe though, so saying this probably makes not a blind bit of difference.

There's no reason it should. There will have been 2 budgets agree ahead of the Play off Final. One for L1, one for Championship. All the shareholders will have agreed to invest their share and if the planned investment comes off, the departing shareholders will likely be reimbursed by those taking over that share. Speakman and Harvey already seem to have a shortlist. The scouting/transfer/contracts team doesn't just fire up when the transfer window opens.

Surely if the incoming shareholders are willing to put a lot more money in than SD and CM then we will be looking at a better calibre of player. They might want a promotion push straight away.

This is what we would hope, but they have to have plan A.
Plan B would be a bonus.
