Pretty crazy decision - he gets a few mentions in 'Putin's People', I'd be surprised if he'd do it anyway, but it'd certainly be a much harder job to get him through the EFL.

A great book, fully agree. DR certainly seems to have tried to extricate himself from the kleptocrats, but you're never fully out of it, everyone knows that.
I also vaguely recall he's in some legal trouble in the US regarding real estate? Either way, I can't imagine him wanting to chance his arm investing cash into us if there's any chance it'll be sanctioned in future (as we would have a separate test for sanctions to the EU/France).
