Nobody I know agrees with what goes on in SA. I’ve been going to Newcastle since 1972, but suddenly in the eyes of many folk on here, I’m a terrorist sympathiser?

Agree with the sentiment - don’t kid yourself that the NE press or people in general would have been as kind if it was SAFC.

For a start the local Labour MP’s would have went in full attack mode. It’s the hypocrisy that stinks. Demanding Ashley appears before Parliament and giving the new lot a free ride.

This. By literally begging the Saudis to take over it makes them complicit. They had the opportunity to take a stand and say no we don’t want these scumbags to own own us but they went the other way. Now they expect to bathe in the glory using blood money but accept no criticism and claim they are just football fans etc
