Better Call Saul - Season 6

The whole bit with Lalo seemed a bit contrived just to have him be a badass for no reason and have him tread water before the final half of the season.

As said, was pretty anti-climatic for the last episode of the first half. Compared to Breaking Bad, it's just petering out to the conclusion.

Ah yeah I noticed that. Maybe explains the slightly below par episodes?
I don't think you can blame the direction if it's the content you have an issue with.
But this has always been a slow paced show which doesn't bother me particularly. I read a review where someone was complaining about Kim's scene with Francesca being superflous. However, I really enjoyed knowing who it was who had 'designed' Jimmy's office. I enjoy that kind of detail and all the tie-ins.

I would almost argue that it's what makes it so good. There's never been anything quite like it where each episode drip feeds a little bit of character development.
I love the dramatic episodes but I don't think they would work as well without the slow build up.

I thought it was decent. I'm surprised anyone with an issue with slow pacing is still with BCS in season 6.

I wonder if there is any connection between Kim being shown to be from Nebraska in this week's cold open and Saul / Gene ending up in Omaha at the end of BB. Maybe that's where she is in BB.

The jump between jimmys life and the Cartel stuff is massive
The whole feel of it thrives on slow bits
I wish they'd turn the lights on now and again :D
Do non of you SAD sufferers get panic attacks being in all these beige dark places
