Another mass shooting in the USA

End of the day whilst guns are legal then your gonna get mass shootings. That's the top and bottom of it.

There might be a load of responsible gun owners but ultimately the nutjobs are the ones why laws need to be changed.

Mental illness, terrorism, racism, influenced by music/movies/games, politics, pychopaths, incel, someone whose snapped - it doesn't matter. If guns weren't legal and easy to get you wouldn't get mass shootings all the time. They would be rare as fuck like they are in any country where you can't just grab a gun with ease.

Until America can solve that then this will continue to be a relatively normal occurance over there.

Obviously you can look into all the issues above and more as to why it happened this particular time but the one thing they all have in common is that some mad bastard can easily get there hands on a weapon where they can kill a load of People with absolute ease.

There's no way you can stop guns being in the hands of the population in the USA. There are, however, many things that can be done to keep them out of the way of the mentally deficient, criminals, etc. And there are ways you can reduce the impact when nutters get hold of them - cooling off periods, magazine sizes, armour piercing, automatic, body armour, etc, etc.

But the NRA won't even contemplate that. And it has the political and financial clout to ensure politicians will do nothing.

Chuck insults and try to belittle all you like you can’t deny it and we all know it. You’ve been balls deep with the people who have either encouraged, denied or defended this sort of thing in the past.
You fall in to that simpleton trap of placing anybody who discusses a topic, who doesn’t instantly follow the same narrative as you, as being the enemy. You listed a whole load of names in your first post having a go at me, that proves my point. You’re dumb mate. Proper dumb.

The same old tired, boring tactic I see

This was a decent thread until you decided to get unnecessarily personal.
Again, just pointing out your hypocrisy.

I haven’t got personal. I haven’t been reduced to insulting you. You are the one resorting to that like you tend to do.

Keep doing that and I’ll keep pointing it out.

'asian' (i'll assume south east asian not sub-continent) bloke in his 60's is the shooter. the parishioners tacked him and tied him up until the police came. most of the parishioners were taiwanese, so maybe he knew them somehow (not random). he had 2 weapons on him. fair play to them for taking him down.

Not old enough to legally drink, but able to buy an assault rifle.
I usually avoid talking to Americans about guns but I was talking over a beer in rural Maryland with a customer; he's from Belgium but has lived in the USA for many years and his American friends bought their own daughter an air rifle for ther 7th birthday. This was in camouflage pattern in different shades of pink and marked as 'my first weapon'.

Another time out there, I strained by shoulder and went to Walmart's pharmacy section for Deep Heat or Ralgex. The pharmacist told me thay were banned in the USA but a few aisles further away was guns and ammunition. I have come across some of the things mentioned in the Jonathan Pie video for the New York Times. The phrase going to buy a bag of bullets for the kids has a different meaning to them.

There’s nothing good or old about the USA.
You're wrong, most people support gun control, just like most people support a decent level of health care or the right for women to chose.
The problem is its arcane out of date form of government that allows the wealthy, elite & the evangelical right to control narrative. The US constitution was written by land owning, slave owning white men. As the population becomes more diverse the problems will get worse

Went in an outdoor type of store in Florida years ago , on one of the end of aisle promotion ends they had a special offer on bullets.

Just like we would have a promotion on tins of brand or whatever.

I had to look twice to believe what I was seeing .
