I might be a hypocrite as I post on another team's forum but for the life of me I can't understand why so many mags post on this site. I don't think there's a single Spurs fan that posts on the Arsenal forums and although I've never visited a Spurs site I'd be pretty sure it's exactly the same for them.

I just don't get why you'd post on a bitter rival fan's forum - even just to wind them up. Have they nothing better to do with their time?

I'm on here mainly for the SMB crack and I'll occasionally post on PF but I'm not going to come on here and try to wind up and piss off Sunderland supporters. Just seems small-time to me.

That because unlike the mags you support a far bigger and better club. Also, may I ask are you from or live in London?

The mags are indeed a very strange breed. In order to justify how massive and great their football club are, in addition to their city being some kind of cultural Mecca (even though many don’t actually inhabit it themselves) have a complete obsession with having to belittle anything to do with Sunderland at every opportunity.

A lot have a huge superiority complex.
They have an incessant need for others to think they are great and the only way they can think themselves great is by putting others down. The easiest way to do this is on social media. The amount who pretend to be mackems on here as they think the slating of sunderland by one of our own 'mackems' will hurt more is astonishing.
They think they deserve Saudi money as they are one of the biggest clubs in the world and everyone else would love money from one of the worlds most evil dictators so it's fine that they wave Saudi flags in support of him.
A lot of them are absolutely disgusting vermin.

Arsenal won’t beat us. City and LFC however will and probably by the proverbial country mile.

And here's the arrogance starting after a few wins! Why won't Arsenal beat you? Check your league table and it'll show they're a far better team than you are. You'll lose all 3 of those games and I wouldn't be surprised if Norwich beat you either.

“Look at the likes of Dwight Gayle, Paul Dummett and Federico Fernandez - three players that have hardly had a kick under Howe, yet roaring with delight in each of those now famed dressing room team photos following a victory.”

Lee Ryder would feel dirty reading that 🤢

Do they realise Arsenal have just beaten Chelsea?...but that's what a superiority complex does for you I supoose🙄

Sorry you’re right on Carlos. I meant Ekitike and Lingard. The deals for Burn and Targett were announced late but agreed earlier in the window.

Anyway I take your point, it was lucky that they settled in but then it goes to my point that Burn and Targett were established PL players and so always more likely to.

And notwithstanding the above, Howe deserves enormous credit for completely transforming the likes of Joelinton, Fraser, Schar, Willock and Krafth who were already at the club.
Is that the Joe Willock who scored 8 goals last season under Bruce? Only 2 this season.

He's been transformed for the worst!

I don't watch mag games but they've dominated possession about twice this year. They can't be playing good football constantly having a lot less of the ball.

Ironic, considering they won the 'possession' Derby game
🤔

I think it's possible.
If we had Everton's owner or someone as gungho as him I think we'd struggle.
What we do have, or it seems to be, is owners who are careful enough to take enough time to see what they're getting.

This is evident with the Howe appointment and player buys up to now, none of which have disappointed and in fact have excelled, in the main.

It all comes down to if we are allowed to compete fairly against the elites already installed.

We'll see.
You think the earth is flat and there are rivers of gold and silver mate.
I just can't take a single thing you say seriously now.

2 words, Chris Wood.

He's an awful signing. You paid twice as much as he was worth and he will never be a top 10 team premier league player. He was in awful form, probably the worst of his career and has scored 1 goal from open play in 4 months.

You have to try and understand how ‘unique’ Newcastle fans are. Their brains do not engage normally and they actually believe they are ‘special’ and therefore entitled to spread their belief that the whole football world admires and loves them. It is a very strange phenomena which is impossible to rationalise

Used to think he was one of the better ones- a bit more detached from the circus than the others. Then he videod himself dancing in his front room after a signing. Fully sportswashed.
Going back a long time ago he used to be very good for the Journal but reporting on Newcastle on a daily basis for years on end seems to have affected his brain chemistry. More interested in wind-ups now.

Press writing about 6 home wins in a row and how Bobby Robson was last Newcastle manager to do it; forgetting to mention he was sacked the following season after losing two home games in a row (although none of the fans were booing)
