CC :: Durham v Nottinghamshire

5 wickets for a spinner at CLS in April man. I bet our reserve spinner gets hoyked all owa, if SB even uses him

Who here brings binoculars? Might invest in a little pair for the crack

Do they actually help watchjng it though?

Yes. I bring a small pair of 8x25's which give a TV sort of view. Anything bigger is too close and you miss stuff. I brought the 15x70's last time and, while it's cool to see the expression on people's faces, they're enormous and limited use.

Spin the stream back. He isn't lying on the floor with tweety birds round his head. The new physio told him he had to come off and he walked off perfectly unaided, chatting to the physio. Pattinson saw him duck into a bouncer and bowled the exact same delivery again a few overs later, knowing he would do the same. He then bowled the same delivery to Raine. He never checked on Trevaskis after hitting him.

How about if a batsman has to go off, so does the bowler?
If he hasn't had the decency and basic common sense to check on Trevaskis after hitting him twice then it shows him as a complete c**t..Fair enough intimidating the batsmen at first class level as long as its within the allotted numbers. But well out of order if no compassion shown if a head injury occurs

Can we get Diana Ross off the scoreboard now

He didn't ask how he was or when he was walking off

Class cheers smoker gonna get some for crack

As I just said it find it hard to judge spinners from this distance
:oops:Scoreboard advertising Diana Ross as play recommences- let's hope there's a chain reaction from our bowlers.

They will, they’ve got guts, there ain’t no mountain high enough for these lads

Pretty lively day, bit of everything. I have to echo the sentiments about our bowling, it's frustrating. I couldn't fault them last week for effort, I've had my view on the wicket and don't want to dwell on that, but that 15 over session today we didn't really offer anything and I think they were going at about 3.5 an over which was positive by them. Are we missing a Carse or a Wood factor??

No complaints about the pitch today, as said it was doing all sorts, some good bowling, some good batting (Dickson and Raine) and also some poor batting, basically a bit of everything, just how I like to watch my cricket as last week was tedious.

Spoke to a fella who is a regular and he mentioned what @The Red Telephone mentioned last week about wickets over towards the Don Robson lacking juiciness and by all accounts the way the sun angles on the pitch was mentioned, and the wickets towards the trapdoor stand are in the opinion to be more juicy.... again make of that whatever you want.

Borthwick is a concern, not going to deny it. Franklin may have some tough decisions to make soon with possibly Stokes and most definitely Lees coming into contention soon.

Carse and Stokes netting today was good to see. I assume the 2nd XI must have a game shortly as the likes of Bushnell, Clark and Doneathy were also netting. No sign of Coughlin though.

Seemed a good crowd in today.

We need wickets in the morning. See how we go.
