I wonder if they have designated the opening home matches of the season to be played on the pavilion side of the square because of the state of the stands and the lack of seating on the river side of the ground.

I heard from a reliable source that the seats won't be going into the Trapdoor until June. If that's the case I don't know why they can't remove that Durham Uni thing currently occupying 25% of the Co Durham Lower seats and put it in the empty Trapdoor.

Sounds about right, the 1st T20 game is June 1st
More likely the other way round. No point putting the seats in when games are mostly being played at pavilion side.

Just noticed we have a 1st team T20 on June 1st at 6.30pm and also the 2nd team have a double header marked as "chester le street" (not riverside) on the same day

Count me in! I loved the T20 double headers at Ropery Lane ( The lack of DJ/flame throwers/Sweet Caroline was an added bonus
) and the three days at Jesmond last season.Mind you I'm drawing the line attending the two 'home' games at Richmond.
