I wonder if they have designated the opening home matches of the season to be played on the pavilion side of the square because of the state of the stands and the lack of seating on the river side of the ground.GROUND/PITCH ACCESS

I heard from a reliable source that the seats won't be going into the Trapdoor until June. If that's the case I don't know why they can't remove that Durham Uni thing currently occupying 25% of the Co Durham Lower seats and put it in the empty Trapdoor.I wonder if they have designated the opening home matches of the season to be played on the pavilion side of the square because of the state of the stands and the lack of seating on the river side of the ground.

More likely the other way round. No point putting the seats in when games are mostly being played at pavilion side.I wonder if they have designated the opening home matches of the season to be played on the pavilion side of the square because of the state of the stands and the lack of seating on the river side of the ground.
Just noticed we have a 1st team T20 on June 1st at 6.30pm and also the 2nd team have a double header marked as "chester le street" (not riverside) on the same daySounds about right, the 1st T20 game is June 1st
Or they want it in use for as little of the season as possible.it is known as the trapdoor sttand got s reason.More likely the other way round. No point putting the seats in when games are mostly being played at pavilion side.

Count me in! I loved the T20 double headers at Ropery Lane ( The lack of DJ/flame throwers/Sweet Caroline was an added bonusUsing the power of the SMB let's try and get a higher attendance at the seconds
I am up for this my eldest son has just started playing for Chester le street like enjoy going there.Using the power of the SMB let's try and get a higher attendance at the seconds
No Broad until next week according to media
Good news for us if true, source?
Mirror Sport. Holding him back until next week.
I'm sure we'll find out soon enough

“Broad, 35, is understood to be targeting fixtures at grounds where he would feature for England in the event of a recall to the Test side - having been left out for the tour of West Indies - so he will sit out Nottinghamshire's visit to Chester-le-Street this week and aim to play two home games at Trent Bridge along with one at Lord's.”
If I was a Notts member I’d be furious like…
