Quality of the Premier League

In a bar in Spain looking forward to watching the lads play Bolton when a guy came over and said (someone translated) we are not watching this donkey shite and turned it off. Couldn't argue really and feel the same about the majority of the Pl now. Too much money, soft as shit overpaid Prima Donna's and VAR. I want the lads to get back but then recall our last 5 years in the Prem and think, 25% possession against City etc. Do I really fancy it and then I talk myself into by remembering beating the Scum, Ji and the beach ball and yeah, of course I do!
FTM.

The Championship games on Sky are almost always more entertaining than the Premier ones. Sheffield Utd vs Bournemouth at 12:30 tomorrow. God only knows what way that will go (admittedly im hoping the pub in Oxford tomorrow will have the Everton game on as they could get destroyed)

I’d love to see us established in the Championship but I’ve got no enthusiasm whatsoever about a return to the Premier League. Its becoming an absolute parody.
You wouldnt, you'd be full of hell if we never progressed being an established 2nd tier team. So would every other fan

You come on here and throw personal insults about all the time, it's proper weird. Have you got nowt better to do man? Calling someone bipolar and a freak because you disagree with them?

Get a grip.
 its daft. I'll be a 'mag' next.

In the last week we've had Tottenham 5-1 Newcastle, Chelsea 1-4 Brentford, Burnley 3-2 Everton, Palace 3-0 Arsenal.

Likely there'll be other interesting results this weekend.
To disparage the quality of the league based on Newcastle v Wolves on a friday night is daft. Wolves have one of the best defences in the league and a strong away record, and Newcastle are mainly shit.
This is a game between a team playing to avoid relegation against a team pushing for Europe who give nowt away. It's never gonna be a one for the archives.

Absolutely on its arse isn't it?

I remember when we were in there and I could watch two random bottom half sides on sky and it was decent. These days it's never a decent game, quality is on the floor and boring.

Most competitive league in the world, probably aye. But there's much better entertainment in numerous European leagues.
Nonsense

Bet Forest fans love it where they are. Never quite getting there. 23 years since they played top flight football. Their Prem hating fans must love it

Would you love it really? Like Forest being outside the top flight for 23 years and counting? What would be good about that?

About as much as was “good” about making up the numbers in the Prem for all those years, scraping about every season trying desperately to cobble 34-38 points together to please the club’s accountant.

I’d had enough of that a good while before we were relegated from it.

I don't watch it, but the PL clubs are doing well across the European competitions so they must be doing something right, unless the quality across Europe has gone to shit as well. Not so long back the media were bemoaning the fact that there were no English clubs in the semi finals most years
