is Dan lawrence any better than Tom Westley - both from Essex and both with the same issue, Westley didnt make it for England...

Aye to be fair I think Lawrence is a really exciting talent, Westley was just a county pro.

I just think at the minute number 4 too much, especially with our flakey top order meaning he is soon. At 6 its possible though.

Crawley, Pope and Lawrence are huge talents IMO, just hasnt worked for them yet.

I think all 3 could have brilliant careers for England white ball sides and on the franchise circuit, so I can see why we are trying to get them in red ball side

fantastic knock from James Bracey from 3 when you look at that other scoreboard

Would prefer him to get a go than sticking with root there and Lawrence at 4

Lawrence out early again LBW, he’s a talented lad but that will always happen on my view

With these streams I have watched Bracey for a couple of seasons before he got his chance last summer and probably with Pope looked outstanding in county cricket but then looked out if his depth in test cricket. Hopefully he has learned and definitely deserves another go.

Hoping Bracey can reach 100 for us this morning.

He deserves another international chance, but at 3 not at 7 or wherever they made him play before.

Especially seeing how many chances or the failures from Surrey and other counties the selectors favour.

The fact a Glos player even made it to the team shows how good he has been. Made it too hard for the selectors to ignore. Putting him at 7 was a good tactic to set him up to fail to avoid having to pick him again.
