Would prefer him to get a go than sticking with root there and Lawrence at 4

Lawrence out early again LBW, he’s a talented lad but that will always happen on my view

Haven't seen Lawrence's yet but sounds like it was a similar leave to one of his last dismissals in the Caribbean?

Not sure I see Bracey as a test match number 3 but I think he’s got more about his game than Lawrence who doesn’t have the technique to survive against good pace or seam long term.

Had him in my test team at 3 for this summer, its his natural position and knocks like today will give him every chance to be selected

I have heard worse shouts

Dan Lawrence at 4 wont work for me, considering his main weakness is LBW early on, which becomes less a problem at number 6 for example

Bracey innings there stood out considering the scorecard

is Dan lawrence any better than Tom Westley - both from Essex and both with the same issue, Westley didnt make it for England...
