It's nice, very saline IMO which is unusual in a blend (well the ones I've had anyway) but in a good way, the maritime influence is definitely prevalent

Likely to be circa £200. Not a distillery I've had much from but the stuff I have had has been mediocre.

I'd ask if the likes of builders are reputable rather than a Distillery.

Brand over substance. The value of the whisky is far greater than the quality.

Macallan almost a study on a premium whisky that is becoming even more so and embracing the fact.
Sure others will be along to chip in but a lot of the affordable/core/entry stuff isn't much cop and vastly over priced.
Gifted a couple bottles of the old style 10 and really good, but goes for £500 plus a bottle at auction now.

Old blends tasting for our whisky club this week - with the addition of a few newer ones in case the older blends are atrocious. Anyone tried any of them? All the older ones are new to me. The one without the label is a 60s Ben Nevis blend. The mashbill on the Campbeltown Loch 25yo is unreal.

I've had the 12 and enjoyed it. Nice looking bottle too.
However, price has gone nuts iirc.
This is the mashbill for the 25yo Campbeltown Loch. Can’t help thinking it was a waste.
