Snaffled one. I'll crack open the one I've already got now without twisting on like a big blouse.
It's nice, very saline IMO which is unusual in a blend (well the ones I've had anyway) but in a good way, the maritime influence is definitely prevalentSnaffled one. I'll crack open the one I've already got now without twisting on like a big blouse.
Likely to be circa £200. Not a distillery I've had much from but the stuff I have had has been mediocre.Another 'Mourinho' on the way from Whiskybroker.
Can anybody give any insights into Macallans? Are they a reputable make?
Brand over substance. The value of the whisky is far greater than the quality. Can anybody give any insights into Macallans? Are they a reputable make?
Are they good whisky wise. Do people trust the brand. Where do people think the brand sits, is it premium, overpriced, etc.
I'd ask if the likes of builders are reputable rather than a Distillery.
Do you mean are they good Whisky wise ?

Thank you for the considered responseMacallan almost a study on a premium whisky that is becoming even more so and embracing the fact.
Sure others will be along to chip in but a lot of the affordable/core/entry stuff isn't much cop and vastly over priced.
Gifted a couple bottles of the old style 10 and really good, but goes for £500 plus a bottle at auction now.

The 15 ?Not a whisky fan but had a Dalwhinnie yesterday which wasn't too bad.
Used to love it, haven't visited it in a while so no idea if it's still as good as it was.The 15 ?
Got to say not a fan at all…but £35 for a 15 year old single malt is cheap mind.
