Had an email from Field and Fawcett regards having Campbeltown Loch / KK Heavily peated in stock, by the time I followed the link they'd gone

Finished the last of my bottle at the weekend.
Would love to replace but fearing that ship has sailed along with most KK and obvs Springbank.

Bought a couple of Mezcal samples from MOM which I might try tonight...never had it before

I've got a na sia bottling of raasay somewhere, peated red wine. Like a nice peated wine finish so have high hopes for it

I was lucky enough to pick up another Campbeltown Loch from that email.

Anybody tried the Campbeltown Loch yet?

I went to open one last night, but opened Aberlour 18 instead.

Something gone wrong in my head when I justify opening an 18 mid-week because I don't want to open a blend...

I'm in Tenerife for my first holiday in nearly 3 yr and have just spotted a bottle of yamazaki 12 and Hibiki 12 in the top shelf at the pool bar so could be a canny holiday although not enquired about price yet !

Never seems right that whisky is cheaper in Spain than here.

And Europe in general we make it and ship the majority of it over there and it's cheaper to buy it back from there, well pre Brexit anyway.

Read a review of Glenfarclas 105 on Amazon by a bloke who lived within walking distance from Glenfarclas distillery yet ordered their whisky from amazon.de as even with shipping costs etc it worked out cheaper. This was pre brexit mind

The Campbeltown Loch is good. Nothing spectacular but very solid.

No idea to be honest. One of the Leeds Whisky group guys is one of their regulars and got all the other bottles from them but didn’t get a sniff of the 25.

They put it on their website and said they'd be auctioning it off (they only got one bottle allocated) with anything over the RRP going to charity. No. Mate is going to ask when he goes in to collect a bottle tomorrow.

Trying this. From what I’ve heard it’s supposedly barely blend worthy.

Had a go of the Campbeltown Loch earlier, impressive for a blend. Also sampled this year's Longrow Red, very nice

That Port Ellen was so bad I’ve poured it away. Absolutely wretched.
