Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

Genuine question as I have no idea about this sort of thing but is the necessary infrastructure and/or logistics in place to do that?

Just thinking about that big pipe to get more gas to Germany that’s been canned - are the right big pipes in place to suddenly send unexpectedly large amounts to China?

I read that they buy something like 20 cubic tonnes and have the capacity to go to 35 but that pipeline to Europe which has been stopped was going to take Europe's from something like 50 to 85 so it's a big hit. Selling more to China needs new infrastructure which won't be quick to build

You need to buy a calendar. We aren’t.
It depends if you are talking about meteorological or astronomical spring. You seem very vehemently in the astronomical camp, like a young druid.

I wonder if it's the saunas making the Finn's so happy. I think I might like to sit in a sauna as I'm engulfed by the nuclear blast.

That link is over a month old. Most of China's energy comes from coal.
From the 4th Feb. So a ‘few’ weeks before the invasion - apologies if you read my ‘couple’ too literally.

And I wasn’t talking about their energy mix. Someone asked if there is pipeline infrastructure from Russia to China. I was just providing some info in response to that.

Christ.

And just the way they do things. A very socially minded government and population. Being nice to each other makes people happy.

Putin is a bastard.

Jesus Christ.

Ive seen allsorts from this "war" dead bodies, buildings smashed etc but this made me fill up which Im not ashamed to admit. Im a father to a 2 year old and I just see her. The only positive I can take is that they are in Poland and safe.

But the plan that was actually implemented was a massive reduction in size. The naval support was pathetic.

Dieppe was a steep learning curve for the eventual D-Day.
Look if friendly nations on the other side of the world are still holding a national holiday 107 years later to commemorate the dead your stupid plan caused you fucked up.

OK, serious question for those knowledgeable on political and military matters.

What would be the ramifications of the west ‘liberating’ Belarus and installing democracy?

Yet another Russian invasion, funnily enough.

Lukashenko needed Putin involved to stop the Belarussians to stop revolting.

An attack on Sweden would be disastrous. Norway and Denmark would offer direct military support.

An attack on Sweden would be the most pointless thing ever, like kicking a newborn puppy, they have nothing of any significance and would achieve nothing, no ties with anybody (Norway or Denmark wouldn't get involved either) they refused to get involved in any shape or form in both WW1 and WW2 - Went completely neutral in both wars - This current conflict is the first time they've gotten involved by sending weapons over.

Sweden's that guy who has ne mates and keeps himself to himself in a corner.
