Wow. It's not hard to feel sympathy for the young lads on the ground when you see them captured and hear the stories of forced conscriptions and them thinking they're on training exercises, but the blokes in these helicopters and planes must know where they are and who they're shooting at.

I'm for military action against Russia but I think it's pathetic the way the media takes glee almost in Russian planes being brought down .....someone's husband ,father, son .....

The loss of life on both sides Is no time for rejoice
Fully agree mate. Russian forces are made up of over a third conscripts. These are young lads being sent to their deaths with zero say.

expert on Sky was saying 2 colonels and a 2 star general were shot by a sniper and that they should have been no where near the front and obviously had been sent there to see what the hold up is.

yep, seems the rumours of their shit comms are correct. they obviously have hardly progressed from the cold war days.
a modern well trained military would slaughter this lot. they have numbers and a decent special forces but the rest is just cannon fodder.

With such anti aircraft weaponry available now (and the west willing to provide it - stingers etc), it shows how little regard Putin has for his own people and forces by trying to prevail with airpower.
Drones would be much less costly regarding losses but he's trying to flex his muscles.

I agree with the sentiment but they are responsible indiscriminate shelling of civilians, invading a sovereign country with no reason other than a land grab by a tyrant so fu#k them.
The Russian people are the ones who can put a stop to this themselves, we'll have to wait and see if want to do it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see more of this, there'll be defectors too. Once the Russians have a stronghold on the country it'll become about self preservation for those on the kill list.

Something fishy is certainly going on.Russia should of took much more territory by now.
Maybe the troops in the North push from Belarus have done deal with the Ukraine soldiers . We stay put and get to go home. Ukraine soldiers to them, we let you go home instead of picking you off through the forests ? .Win win . Who knows
