This is what’s been bugging me. He owns them not the other way round. But as Fiona Hill says; it’s the inner circle of political and security leaders he need be wary of. When it comes down to it, for a lot of these guys no one is bigger than Russia.

All don’t some do have his back 100% massively financial gain, he will be getting flak from them that’s a fact.

Tbf if they were to join NATO tomorrow then NATO are instantly at war with Russia

And if they give him too much, they'll end up in prison and then exile. The only major Russian company that's come out strongly against the war that I can recall is Lukoil. The dude who owns Lukoil is an oligarch, yes, but he isn't Russian. There's a lot less Putin can do to him without some very unpleasant blowback.
