Pressure will get unbearable as they smash cities and starve the people.
I can’t see this being an option of sitting and waiting.
Russia is weak currently his pants are round his ankles trying to give it all in Ukraine.
I’m surprised if drones are not being operated by NATO under Ukraine flags.

Whilst I accept we are not as reliant on Russian energy as other countries there is no spin about Thatcher using revenues of North Sea oil to fund years of mass unemployment.

The tories selling all the utilities off so all the profits line the pockets of share holders in stead of keeping prices down and investing in infastructure means our energy needs are in other peoples hands. If you are happy with that fair enough.

Talking about the no-fly zone was mostly a ruse, I think - an attempt to walk back earlier out-of-hand dismissals of it as too confrontational. Explicitly bringing it up and then rejecting it signals a much tougher line to Putin without getting his finger hovering on the button.

And it seems to have worked to a degree given his most recent communication.

i dont know. I think we should avoid anything that might further place Russia and China in the same camp.
