Hopefully that's the first domino in China doing the right thing, anyone know how significant this is?
Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has loans into Russia of circa $800M with $300M that were awaiting sign off.

Clearly thinking let's not put good money after bad, the bank is probably now fully providing against that 800M, nee chance of seeing that now. Other Asian lenders will be turning the taps off.

Putin can’t win, he has galvanised hatred towards him and Russia for many generations.
And that country is your neighbour.
I genuinely believe and hope Crimea is retaken when Putin is dead or dropped.
This will be a clause to release sanctions back to Russia.

There’s no doubt he’s not covering Russia in glory atm.
I feel sorry for the good people of Russia who’s been stuck with him for 22 years.
The international community need to reiterate that the people of Russia aren’t to blame, in fact they’ve showed great bravery speaking out about him. They need to reiterate international relations can return to normal and Russia can prosper again

If the world survives this latest bout of tensions there needs to be deep meaningful discussions about reducing threats to everyone

Maybe that way we can avoid future tragedies like this one

The first casualty of any war is the truth…

The fear is that Russia pulverise Ukraine, install a puppet and then all the leaders sat "well that's over" and go back to engaging with (taking their money) Russia as before. This turning a blind eye has led to war in Europe and threats of nuclear oblivion.

I don’t think the public would allow it now. There’s been a real sea change over this whole conflict that won’t be easily forgotten or brushed over.

Whilst their money and power to be earned there will always be the risk of war. It engrained in human dna.

It's not because it's a fake news outlet. They just find anything off Twitter and lump it as their own. Even our own Sky News is doing the same!

BBC Fact Checker doing god's work in that regard

They can't fly to Western airports. They'll be stopping everyone leaving Russia shortly anyway.
Yeah. Russian-flagged carriers can't fly to many of the places that would impound the planes anyway due to airspace bans. The implication of stealing them, though, is they can't fly them almost anywhere outside of Russia. China they might be able to get away with, Cuba definitely, Venezuela yes. But that's not a long list.

Have they done enough to destroy them though? Hardly engulfed in flames.

Look like they have dropped fire bombs into them in the open hatches too.

The people who document it it seems to be just video after video of the Russians abandoning vehicles. One completely destroyed here. Suggestion is the people in the other 4 vehicles thought fuck that and legged it. Who knows but they must be losing hundreds of millions each day

Interesting. Just before the 5 minute mark she explains how he did not eat or drink anything at a dinner, presumably for fear of being poisoined, he's even more paranoid than I imagined. I think Kevin Maguire once did an interview with ALS where he mentioned Abramovic's people contacting the club prior to an upcoming Chelsea match, one of the things they asked was has the local hospital got enough supply of his blood group?

Ben Elliot probably arranged the blood for him ….

We now rely on Russian energy.
We don't.

"Around 40% of the UK’s gas is supplied from fields in Irish Sea and the North Sea and European imports make up a similar proportion. The single biggest source of import from the continent is a direct pipeline across the North Sea from Norway to the UK. The Netherlands and Belgium also provide significant amount of natural gas to UK. The remaining 20% imported by UK in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from across the world and the leading supplier of LNG are US and Qatar."
