I play footy with a couple of Ukrainians and a Russian lad - nowt the matter with them on Tuesday - it's fuck all to do with the people unfortunately

I was talking to one of our PMs earlier this week. His project is winding down but they are using a subcontractor in Ukraine. One of the developers was working in his parents basement in Kyiv. Our PM told him to take time off if he needed to but he said he desperately needed to keep working to pretend there was some normality in his life.

I’m sure China doesn’t use swift. There’s still means of transaction. Just not available to most western companies.

Cant people still pay via SWIFT? Sure only certain banks were blocked from using it as the west are still giving them money for gas and if I heard correctly its either £500m a day or week they get from us.

Swift isn’t the (only) issue. It’s also the breach of sanctions
