So we can never stand up to an invader ever if they have nukes, he could using your logic take Poland and we could do nothing, just encase he may use Nukes?
It's a game of chess.

I get where you're coming from - but he's taken a chance we won't help because of NATO.

If he enters a NATO country it's gloves off and he know we will engage.

ISIS emerged from the rebel forces. But we never had troops on the ground. Had we gone in we could have taken down Assad and then squashed ISIS.
We didn`t have troops on the ground because Parliament voted against it despite the fact that Cameron wanted to send troops. Assad was fighting Isis and we were undermining him by providing "assistance" to the rebels, many of whom turned out to be Isis.

Here is how we do it. Your beloved EU which wants to get so involved sets up it's own voluntary armed force. Let's calll it the EUVF as it has a nice ring about it. It then asks for volunteers from it's member states who are EU citizens to join. They could even ask further afield if they want and welcome others. Remember those jets they are supplying, well it purchases them and other military kit for nominal sums from it's member states- say a grand a jet. It then badges them with a blue roundel with yellow stars on them and bases them in western Ukraine. They then set about the Russians. The Russians can't hit them back as a country as they aren't one and NATO aren't involved. If the Russians attack one of the EU member states which is a Nato member then in we all pile in including the UK and US. At the end of the conflict it sells the kit back to the relevant parties for the same price.

There you go. The EU also become a major player which is what they want
Oh I’m sorry Spitty, for one minute I thought this was the non-political non-arsey thread. My mistake.

You do know that Leningrad and Stalingrad are in modern day Russia?

And they saw some of the worst fighting? Leningrad suffered more casualties than the US and UK added together?
Yes I know. That’s why I said never made it further. They surrounded Leningrad. Never made it beyond Moscow and never went further than Stalingrad. That’s about 25%(maybe even less?) of Russia. Ukraine and Belarus’s were completely destroyed.

The Germans did not invade Russian territory on June 22 1941 as the bloke on sky said they did. They invaded Poland and Lithuania. End of July was when Germans first stepped onto real Russian land.

I’m not, and never will, dispute their losses. I’m disputing peoples version of events around Barbarassa basically. It’s a nonsense that the Russians get away with. They invaded Poland and the Baltic states, it wasn’t their land.

What Russia fail to realise is that in this day and age, we live in Social Media etc world, which is a huge hurdle for the Ruski's to overcome. The truth can no longer be hidden and their propaganda machine just seems... old school, where the west have embraced modern methods of sharing information.
