How many boomers do we have deployed at any one time? Is it only the one?
it'll probably be answered by the time i post this (as i'm on the overnight catchup)

as far as i have read...

normally - 1 out, 1 just back in, 1 in short refit, 1 in deep refit

but probably with surge capability to get the first 3 out in an emergency

Many said at start this was a potential end game. East Ukraine "liberated" plus Crimea land linked to Russia & a new warm water naval base at Mariupol.

Honestly if you were Zelensky would you take that at min?

Terms were apparently disarm, become neutral & give us Crimea. I might agree to last 2 but in fact get a solid neutral army as self defence force a bit like Finland or Japan.

Potential huge gains long term for Ukraine (once rebuilt) I think as a new sort of Switzerland sitting between East & west.
Putin wants the whole of Ukraine, that’s why there’s a 20 mile convoy heading into Kiev,

Another layperson question alert:

If he drops nukes on Ukraine, won’t Moscow get the fallout because of wind direction?
I wouldn’t have thought he’d drop nukes on Ukraine, if the video about his reasoning is to believed he’ll need Ukraine to be a place that is ‘workable’ to extract the gas reserves. Can’t do that if it’s been nuked. Guess that’s one positive in the will he/won’t he nuke debate

I have a pal who served on one Sub, I asked him what was the longest time it spent underwater, I was shocked when he said almost 6 months.

American boomers have 2 crews for each boat - so they can go out, spend x months at sea, return and swap the crew and load up on consumables, head straight back out for another x months

For those wondering about Russian logistics, this is a good article. It was about them attacking the Baltic states, but the same principles apply.
