Cos its a f***ing war zone man. Its pretty obvious they mustn't have the capabilities or think its not a good idea
Cause it’s a war zone? I’m sorry, I thought you attacked things in a war. My mistake!

You obviously don’t know why, you’re just making broad assumptions. I asked the question not because I think they should be doing it, but because I thought someone with some military experience or strategic insight might be able to offer some insight.

Turns out you aren’t that person. Thanks anyway.

And why aren’t they?
Probably because they would get shot down trying the have short distance air support in the aid of fighter jets.

They could get shelled to bits themselves when revealing positions.

They also may want the gear themselves, they could have a different plan

I’m going with they are probably out of range.

They have knew where this has been since day dot with satalites. A 40 mile convoy can’t be just taken out that easy.

It will cost money and resources something they have to save for.

Guerrilla warfare is the way they will fight.

There is many different reasons.

I can give an answer. There's been no air attacks because Russia's airfleet is over 10x as much. It's just suicidal.

But, they have been bombing them on the ground, they were meant to come into Kyiv via Kharkiv in the north east but because of all the small wins they've been picking ambushing the convoy, so instead the convoy has turned around and went all the way round outside the perimeter of Kyiv and are entering via the South West instead, they were due in early hours Monday, it's Tuesday and they're still not there so put into perspective how of a nuisance it's caused.
Thank you. I read somewhere that the Russians still don’t have air dominance and they thought they would, so I assumed that meant the Ukrainians still has the ability to fly bombers over stuff, particularly in their own country. Would they just get shot down? Where from? And do they have drones?

And why aren’t they?
Could be loads of reasons, don’t have resources or would stretch resources where they are needed, don’t think there is strategic value, don’t want to be seen as aggressors in taking out “ sitting ducks” whilst trying to portray themselves as “ defenders” of their nation, agreements around not doing so whilst talks happen and any number of other reasons.

This nonsense about Russians rising up is just highlighting folks ignorance of the situation in Russia. He has a tighter grip on the populace than even Stalin had.

They have arrested more Russians than they have killed Ukrainians.
Look what happened in Syria when we encouraged people to rise up against Al Assad. That civil war is still going on with the regime backed by Russia. And they haven’t been afraid to bomb their own civilians.

The first phase of the war is most likely to end when Kyiv is captured.

Thank you. I take it that means the Russians have the ability to shoot down aircraft from the ground in their positions in Ukraine?

Its hard to believe but its staggering there are people on a football message board who are typing away in a nice cosy warm place questioning why certain things aren't happening in a war zone thousands of miles away

WHY AREN'T THEY ATTACKING THAT CONVOY FFS 🙄
It’s a tasty target but it’s also defended by SA-19 AA vehicles(which you can clearly see) and god only knows what else.

If they could hit it im sure they would. I mean, why wouldn’t you?

Russians definitely have air superiority, it's so 1-sided they're a NATO-patrolled no-fly zone has been mentioned a few times by Zelensky and Boris, which is actually legal when it comes diplomacy - NATO had one in Bosnia and more recently Turkey with NATO's blessing imposed one on Syria when they chased the Kurds away to stop the Syrians & Russians getting involved
