Normally they think the thread shouldn't contain views they don't like.
Quite enjoyed someone asking me not to talk about politics on the politics forum mind

If you told the Tory voters how it's convenient that all the fruitloop governments in this world was/are literally all right wing parties - Modi, Xi, Putin, Lukashenko, Churchill, Hitler, Stalin - They'd throw a strop and piss their undies so what's the point in even debating it.

They might as well rejoin the USSR for all the independence they’re showing.

That thing you see when Putin opens his mouth is the top of Lukashenko’s head. Disgraceful, providing a new platform for nukes in the middle of a war zone.
I think they’ve already accepted their fate. Whatever the outcome, they’re always gonna be part of Russia now
Allowing their logistic operation to catch up most likely.
This would be a better guess. As mento as Putin is coming across I’m sure he wants to win this the best way possible, not by leaving a wasteland behind

If you are a Russian national you would have to be certifiable to go back home right now

Unless Putin backs down the economic pressure from the rest of the world is going to make life there very difficult

classic propaganda, i had a bit of a giggle when i read it.

obviously those currently outside Russia will be able to access all news and media reports, so will be getting a decent look at what's actually going on in Ukraine and be able to relay that back to friends, relatives within Russia...

It looks like the non looney Russians know the score and are anti- what’s going on.

Sadly we are in a world where facts and common sense mean nothing to very large numbers of folk.

It really worries me that is we back this psychopath into a corner he will lash out with horrific consequences

it's a problem. do nothing and he keeps on going. push him too far and he loses the plot... no one knows what 'too far' is though

i hope the russian people sort him out, best case scenario.

It baffles me how Putin expects Ukraine to be governed once he's replaced the current government with his own puppets. Wrecking the capital city and killing a fair chunk of its residents isn't going to win many hearts and minds.

If his new President manages to avoid being assassinated they'll have to keep 40 million radged up Ukrainians in check who'll have plenty of weapons, it'll be like Afghanistan on steroids. Putin will need to keep his entire army there permanently to do this, so it's going to be a severe burden on an already crippled Russian economy and will cost countless Russian lives.

This isn't what he expected and I'd be looking for a quick way out of this shit-show without losing face if I was him, I hope for everyone's sake that one can be found.
