Another Russian MP speaks out against the war in Ukraine, saying he thinks he thought he was just voting to save the DNR and LNR. He claims the Kremlin hid its real plans from lawmakers. Not clear what he thought the 190,000 troops on the border were doing

State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, founder of the Buryat riot police Vyacheslav Markhaev directly writes that plans for a war with Ukraine were hidden from the deputies, and condemns the Russian leadership for it

I wouldn't object if you, Farage and other sympathisers of the enemy were rounded up and interned on the Isle of Man until the fighting is over, like we did in World War 2.

I don't think his own people would take him out, I'm struggling to think of this happening with other dictators, those close to Putin will follow him, I hope I'm wrong, best that the West know exactly where he is and get that info to Ukraine

It’s a fair shout to say we’re well behind on accepting refugees.

EU are giving 3 years’ safety without asking to apply to permanent asylum. We should be doing similar and we aren’t (yet)

Yes, I’ve said before on this thread that WW3 wouldn’t happen. Unfortunately I hadn’t taken into account how mad and seemingly out of control Putin and his close circle are.

Everything about this war is baffling from their side; their tactics, rhetoric and assumptions. A sure sign that there’s a bunch of idiots in charge.

He said days ago if anyone interferes the consequences would be devastating, since then everything other than boots on the ground (to the best of our knowledge) has happened with country after country announcing lethal aid and openly confirming the levels of military support they are sending to support Ukraine.

Without a doubt many have now interfered so its his move. Hopefully in this world of instant news and influence across the globe the Russian people and those close to him see sense and force him out.

It's worrying times, just coming out of covid and this shit comes along. It's been coming though, poisoning of people in the UK, shooting a civilian jet down over Ukraine, changing the law to stop him being voted out, killing political opponents and that huge f***ing table he sits at the end of, he's a lunatic.
