Negotiate peace with minimal concession to Russia. Wait a short period and announce Putin's retirement.

Russia has spent credit it doesn't have. They should make reasonable reparations to Ukraine and take some steps towards disarmament. Become responsible members of the international community.

Until they do so, sanctions should remain. The world can't be held to ransom by nuclear threat like to this.
