People were sneering about Zelinski being a former comedian. Actually it takes a lot of guts to get up on stage and tell jokes to an audience of strangers.

Anyhow, one thing i have learned, never trust anyone who doesn't have a sense of humour. Because they can't see how silly they are themselves.

These talks were being talked about since this morning but Zelenskiy declined because he didn’t want to do it in Belarus

The comment about the nukes came just before the new talks were announced.

It wouldn’t surprise me if putin made that comment knowing the talks were approved

Now, no matter what is agreed in private, he could claim it was his threat of nuclear action that got everyone round a table and play it as a win

Yes, I realise there's lots of potential for leaders to dress up and having exciting selfies taken in the current situation, and that's very important.

But nevertheless Germany just threw away decades of policy, it's done what Trump wanted them to do (with some justice). Basically, it could be said that it's re-militarising.

And it's ending reliance on Russian gas.
