Hopefully he will get taken out. Not impossible. Ukraine a huge gamble. Everyone seems to be assuming he'll just roll onto the next 'miscreant', Moldova maybe, but this adventure could tie him and Russia down for long time.

Sure. The theory being that another mobile, armoured force on the ground is the most effective weapon against another mobile, armoured force…

In the balkans for example we thought we were delivering a decent blow to Serb armour via air attacks but when the ceasefire was called and they pulled back we saw that we hadn’t inflicted that much damage at all.

In the gulf it was a completely different story with our armoured advance

Big call. That's an easy one to suggest but a very different matter if you're the one making the decision. I'd give it odds of 20/1 on of being the right call but even that slight doubt is enough to withhold making the call.

I never knew that about you mate, respect 👍 Do we think Putin could have been this clumsy, he's been low key and calm, plotting, for a good few years.
