I hope they are, but I'm also very suspicious of China and their intentions. I have a feeling their actions today might only be temporary.China seemingly coming round to being against Russia. Massive worry for Vlad if so.

No it’s notNo, Ukraine is a democratic country, that’s the problem, Putin doesn’t like the democratic decisions it is making
So they’re telling Russia that they need to invade them now or never.
We’ve set the bench mark, if you aren’t in NATO we will send supplies (500 German helmets) but other than that, you’re fair game to Russia
They also haven’t forgotten that the USSR took over chunks of their country in WW2.They've been living next to the angry neighbour for a long time, not making too much noise.
They even stop tourists taking pictures of Russian border posts from inside Finland, cos they don't want to annoy them.
Turns out the angry neighbour is still likely to kick their door in, so why not consider joining NATO?
It’s around infinity times more democratic than Putinistan. No it’s not
I can’t remember everyone threatening to invade the USANot like there wasn't mass protests across America and Europe or that people haven't brought it up ever since. Sure wasn't much fuss.
FFS "interesting" it would probably the beginning of WW3.It will be Lviv probably and try to cut off the Polish/Ukraine border.
It would get interesting if Putin did attack the Poles as I think someone in Moscow would put a bullet in his head before this all get's out of hand.
I hope they are, but I'm also very suspicious of China and their intentions. I have a feeling their actions today might only be temporary.
Dom, with respect, shut up mate.No it’s not
My side of what?I do hope you're better informed than I am.
1. Finland was Russia only 100+years ago. Now proudly independent but not always so. With that you learn to pick your arguments.
2. Honorably held Pact on both sides until 1992 of friendship. One sided yes but I don't recall Finland being in Warsaw Pact... Look up "Finlandization".
3. Big trade partner.
4. Karelia.
5. No big gammon nationalist thing in Finland. Some recently but didn't gain traction UK allowed farage to. Finland political system prevents it.
Happy to hear you side. Please....
WTF are you on about?I can’t remember everyone threatening to invade the USA
They'd have to cut off Romania as well, which I mean if they secured all those boarders then there's no point putting any weapons in as the Ukrainians would be crushed.Push towards Lviv perhaps on the western border, cutting off the land route in and out of Ukraine towards Poland and Slovakia. That would mean potentially no more military supplies getting in overland.
Fair few will without doubt. Its a percentages game.In reality we could be supplying Russia. When they take Ukraine all these weapons will belong to Russia.
Same as the Taliban when we ran away/decided to leave
They still need the West to buy their shit...money talks.I hope they are, but I'm also very suspicious of China and their intentions. I have a feeling their actions today might only be temporary.
You’ve lost me!WTF are you on about?
Invading Russia?
If so…um, that doesn’t seem to be the topic of this thread.
Remember talk of a mild stroke hence the way he walks, I think its his left arm/ side that looks fucked.
Dom, with respect, shut up mate.
It clearly isn't possible to stay out if it. We took Ukraine under the western Europe wing, persuaded them to give up their nukes on the understanding we would help them if necessary, and here we are.
No it’s not
It was Swedish/Fennoscandia/kvenland long before it was part of Russia and never really wanted to be part of Russia, took the first chance it got for independence.I do hope you're better informed than I am.

No, you’ve completely lost the plot. Our populations protest when our governments do unjust things. Then we have elections and the leaders have to subject their actions to the judgement of their subjects, including the protesters. You’ve lost me!

All this shite about the soviet union can buggar offz most of it was just conquered states that weren't there's in the first place.
