If by functioning you mean swathes of the country who have close to 100% unemployment and live in abject poverty.

Watch Simon Reeve’s journey through Russia and it shows what an absolute third world mess the country is.
The bit I remember most was that Putin-themed restaurant in the arse end of nowhere. It’s a cult of personality amongst too many of the Russian people.

That all depends on Poland wanting to get involved though. Not that easy.

It's scary stuff, Poland may have to consider they could be a target in the future. If Putin wants to turn the clock back where does the West draw the line? It wasn't Crimea, it isn't Ukraine- what about Moldova? I doubt it. What about Latvia? possibly not. What about little 'Russian" slices of Poland like the area around Bialystock, or the former Russian Finland, the rest of Poland was occupied by USSR. I presume taking back the bits of Germany that it used to own would be too far??

India trying to play both sides now according to reuters

India is exploring ways to set up a rupee payment mechanism for trade with Russia to soften the blow on New Delhi of Western sanctions imposed on .

Reuters reports that government and banking sources said Indian officials aere concerned that vital supplies of fertilizer from Russia could be disrupted as sanctions intensify, threatening India’s vast farm sector.

India has called for an end to violence in but refrained from outright condemnation of Russia, with which it has long-standing political and security ties.

Looks like there’s a fair amount of missiles that are failing to explode. I’ve seen quite a few (verified) videos / photos from multiple locations.

Putin using up his old stock first ?

One extremist autocratic leader wanting to trade with another shock. I assume Brazil be the next. Thank God Trump is gone or the US would be on their side as well.

Remember this fuckwittery from Johnson. Wrong, as usual. EU acting like Hitler? Or should that be Russia?

If this is legit it's quite worrying. It's apparently a video of Chechen military getting ready to move in support of Russia.

Anyone else sick to death of the word sanctions?

Quickly becoming the buzzword of 2022.

Wish people would stop muttering on about them, we'll not know if successful/ or see the (hopeful) impact of them for months, possibly years.

Not going to make a jot of difference in saving Ukraine.
