haven’t actually watched any tv news on this, just been listening to 5 live the whole time which has had great coverage.

If your a fan of bald and bankrupt, he’s been in Ukraine for a while (posted live video in Kiev this morning) so wouldn’t be surprised if he has a video out soon

Yeah I was thinking this but does it really make any sense as Nato are still bordering their allies so if anything happened with Nato and Belarus/Ukraine then Russia would support them anyway. Nato is a defensive organisation and wouldn’t be used to invade Russia (at least it would appear that way). Seems more like a move by Russia to go further in the future than necessarily a defensive move to protect itself against Nato.

Well I was dreading going to bed last night, for the fear of waking up the Kyiv being bombed, and its happened. I've had the dog out for a long walk this morning and haven't read anymore. Just flicked Sky news on the telly, christ its horrendous. Where are we at atm? Are the Ukrainians still putting up a good resistance? Sky news showed footage of a Russian Convoy with what looked like tens of thousands of troops rolling in from the southern region.

He does but he’s also a sleazy fucker with a dodgy past, I stopped watching after realising his views on women from the former USSR countries, and some other dodgy stuff that I won’t go into for legal reasons. Instead I’ll link this subreddit:

Maybe. We know it`s a defensive organisation but do Russia think this??

thanks I'll take a look. he's always given really good insights on 'normal' people from all of the former soviet republics and their views. haven't had a look for a while.

its a very good point. Whilst RT will spout nonsense most Russians will have access to international media / internet etc. you would think anyone under say 40 or so will see this invasion a rediculous, the world has changed hugely since the 80s , a 20 yo in Russia will have a similar outlook/aspirations to a 20 yo in America, Asia , Australia etc

I think a big motivation for putin is that it will make him more popular, as was the case after crimea, but ultimately it was only short term

Only so much we can do as mere mortals. I’m afraid. However it’s so important that those of us who have the freedom to do so make our voices heard. The people of Ukraine have lost their rights to even live in their own homes now, and the Russians are being arrested for voicing their opinions on the matter. We have to do everything we can, with the wonderful rights we have.

Is that confirmed? Meaning not the fact that its been shot down. But that it's a Russian jet that was destroyed? Either way its absolutely harrowing footage mind, this is full scale warfare that i'd never thought i'd see.

Apparently some of the footage out there is old stuff from Russian's in Syria etc.
